Amazing God!

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!” (Psalms 139:6, New Living Translation).

This is the key Bible verse for our “Come and See” devotional today.

Human beings are naturally adventurous and our insatiable curiosity has led to the discovery of many wonderful things. We keep searching for new things such as plants, animal species and minerals, from one end of the earth to another and we search in space above. In all of these is the One who consistently creates new things for us to discover. God says: “behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19, New King James Version).

We often organizes counts or a census to determine numbers but we can never get accurate figures. This is because of difficulties in counting additions through birth and subtractions by the unfortunate incidence of death. Again, The Everlasting God is accountable for all His creations even to the last details. Thus, we read in Matthew 10:30, New Living Translation “and the very hairs on your head are all numbered.”

We can only gaze as the stars twinkle by night but God counts them and calls them all by name (Psalms 147:4). He also numbered men and women by counting their stars so that everyone made in His image should shine as the stars of heaven. God refers to men and women as being the light of the world even though, from time to time, we ignorantly choose to dwell in darkness. Everyone is subject to a higher authority but the Most High does not look upwards simply because God is taller than the tallest and sits higher than the highest being, spirits or force could imagine. His sharp eyes look out over the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

There are no emergency plans in His schedule! He is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega who cannot be caught unaware. Those who know Him never lack the strength to overcome their challenges and only fools deny His existence. GOD is inexplicable, unfathomable, indestructible, unchangeable, powerful and knowledgeable. Nevertheless, He is never too busy to listen to His many children because He knows your name and feels your pain.  He deserves your worship because He is truly an Amazing God!

Let’s us pray: “Father, I bow down to your majestic power and humbly proclaim you as the only Living God,” in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
