Angelic Help is your Heritage:

“Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14, New King James Version)

This is the key Bible verse for the “Come and See” devotional today.

The angels of the Lord are more than just spirits as they are helpers of destiny: it is very difficult for us to fulfil our divine assignments in this wicked and complicated world without their assistance. This would explain why God assigned a special guardian angel to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land.

He said to Moses: “behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.” (Exodus 23:20, New King James Version). This illustrates that it makes good sense to become acquainted with angels in order to walk safely in fulfilling our purpose in life. One of the gifts offered to us as believers, through the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, is the assistance of angels. The key Bible verse, above, shows that the help of angels is reserved only for those of us who are born-again.

It is difficult for us to take full advantage of our earthly inheritance without accepting that angels exist and that they are faithful helpers of destiny. Sadly, many believers are either ignorant of, or unconcerned about, this right granted through Christ.

Referring to our ignorance, Jesus Christ noted: “for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” (Luke 16:8b, King James Version). Also, the evil ones are well aware of the fallen angels at their disposal. Any evil act of witchcraft or sorcery, or the use of curses or divinations, simply involves engaging the wicked spirits against their ignorant victims. Fortunately, these fallen angels are not invincible: only Angels of God are.

We do not work for our inheritance and we simply accept it as a gift. However, ignorance of our inheritance does not alter the fact that it exists: the problem then is that we do not enjoy its benefits. In the same way, any denial of the existence of these helpers does not change the truth concerning their invincibility and their availability to the heirs of salvation in Jesus Christ.

The days of Abraham, Elijah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Apostles and other patriarchs recorded in the Bible are here again. During their earthly ministry, they were not only conscious of the reality of angels; they knew they could never carry out their divine assignments successfully without their help.

We all share the same enemy as these saints of God.  Therefore, we cannot afford to be ignorant of the truth that angels are our inherited gift through salvation in Christ Jesus. We shall fulfill our destiny!

Let us pray: “Father, I thank you for the benefits of salvation. I receive your Grace to live in the reality of the angelic help available for my desired victory,” in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.

Bible Reference: “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Galatians 3:14, King James Version).
